Where does the money go?

A percentage of registration fees go directly to cover the cost of the ride. Everything from permits to police patrols, aid station food, insurance, portable toilets, jerseys and finish line barbeque are covered out of registration fees. The remaining proceeds of the event benefit Inner City Health Center.

Inner City Health Center has been providing quality comprehensive medical and dental care as well as individual and family counseling to the uninsured for almost three decades. Founded in 1983, the Center has expanded from a small neighborhood clinic serving individuals and families in Five Points, one of Colorado's poorest neighborhoods, to an award-winning community health care center with more than 46% of its patients coming from outside the city and county of Denver, including patients from Arapahoe, Jefferson, and Adams Counties.

Over the years, Inner City Health Center has been fortunate enough to realize a number of accomplishments. The most recent success story is the building of our new clinical home that is twice the size of its predecessor and offers space for substantial future growth and development. The Center has also earned significant recognition and honors including El Pomar Foundation 2007 Awards for Excellence and being named the 2006 Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year. Also in 2006, the Center was named a Champion of the Community by the Denver Broncos Charities Fund.

Inner City Health Center is firmly convinced that ensuring access to health care is an essential step toward making a difference in the lives of the people. By providing quality health care to individuals, we believe we help strengthen families, protect individual self-respect, and provide a needed service in helping our communities develop.
